Camp Royall is located near Pittsboro in central North Carolina , about a 4 ½ hour drive from the northeastern part of the state and a 6 hour drive from the extreme western part. Camp Royall is a little less than 20 miles from I-40 at Chapel Hill .

Camp Royall has gently rolling terrain with all walks and paths between buildings and amenities on a grade of 5% or less, making it completely wheelchair accessible. While woods surround the site, there are several large open areas. Camp Royall is located on the site of an old family farm. Sights and sounds (rather the lack of noise) of rural North Carolina abound. The dining hall and gymnasium face a small pond. Camp Royall opened in 1997.

Maximum capacity at Camp Royall is 116. There are four cabins, two that sleep 30 and two that sleep 28 and each featuring a common room, bunk beds, and several private rooms. All of the of the cabins have ramps and are handicapped accessible. Linens are NOT provided, please bring your own linens or sleeping bag, pillow, and towels. Each bathroom has private toilet and shower stalls and is handicapped accessible. Also, there is air-conditioning in all buildings except for the bathhouse at the pool.

Some of the site buildings include: Dining hall, craft center, gymnasium, pool and bathhouse, playground, basketball court, volleyball pit, playing field, campfire circle and another outdoor circle near the cabins, small pond, hiking trails.

The Dinning hall contains a nice large fireplace at one end and a front porch complete with rocking chairs at the main entrance. The dinning hall has nice windows all around to give you a lovely view from any spot.

Break out space is at a premium. There is a large covered pavilion, the mess hall, craft building, and common room within each cabin. This would give us space for six workshops and vendor village. Not to mention the hiking trails, fire circle, dock, and many more spots for quiet reflection.

Also at Camp Royall our children can truly be children at the large playground area featuring swings, sandbox, slides, a small ropes course, and plenty of room to run.
